Long span shelving is the strongest, most versatile system for picking and storing hand-loaded stock, and it's our number one seller. Beams clip straight into the frames — no nuts or bolts — so bays go up and levels adjust in minutes. Open-back bays are free-standing and can be loaded from both sides.
We keep hundreds of bays in stock in our Leixlip warehouse and specialise in supply and fit: one bay or 100 bays, generally installed within 48 hours. The system is European manufactured, and because we stock the same system year-round you can always come back for extra levels and components. Collection welcome — just give us a call and come over.
Which depth do you need?
450mm deep: the smallest standard size, for items no more than 500mm deep — banker's boxes, file boxes, shoeboxes and stationery.
600mm deep: by far the most popular size, making up 70% of our sales. General storage of every kind — auto parts, garage stock, self-storage units.
900mm deep: the deepest size, for bulk storage. If you have the floor space, 900mm deep is better value than 450mm — you get twice the storage capacity at a more competitive rate.
Timber or steel inserts?
Every bay comes as standard with three fully adjustable levels and new timber inserts, and levels can be added or removed to suit. A steel insert option is available at 600mm deep: it costs a little more, but gives you a wipeable surface for storing food goods.
Steel-insert bays are the go-to in takeaways, hotels, petrol stations, butchers and cold rooms — anywhere moisture in the air rules out a timber insert, or where a wipeable surface is required.
Mobile long span shelving
For stock-picking operations we fit long span bays with castors — four per bay, two braked and two free-running. Castors can be fitted from €80 per bay depending on the working load required. Mobile bays run up to 2250mm high in 600mm and 900mm depths, with up to three shelving levels per bay for mixed stock sizes.
Advantages
- No nuts or bolts — beam-to-frame construction goes together and adjusts in minutes.
- Loads from both sides — free-standing, open-back bays double up as pick faces.
- Three depths — 450mm, 600mm and 900mm cover everything from file boxes to bulk stock.
- Hundreds of bays in stock — 1 to 100 bays generally fitted within 48 hours.
- Wipeable steel inserts — available at 600mm deep for food-safe environments.
Priced configurations
A starter bay stands on its own; each extension bay shares a frame with the bay beside it, so long runs cost less per bay. All prices ex VAT at 23%. Delivery and installation quoted separately.
