Mezzanine Floors

An industrial mezzanine floor gives you additional usable floor space inside your existing building, at a fraction of the cost of relocating or extending. It unlocks the height above your head, and the work happens while you keep trading underneath.

Every floor is designed around the building it goes into. Ours are manufactured in Ireland, and the lead time from order to finished installation is four to five weeks.

What a mezzanine costs

A few things drive the price. Have these to hand and we can get a lot closer on the phone.

• Floor area: the overall square metres of finished floor.
• Finished floor height: how far up the deck sits.
• Staircases: how many, and where. A stair on the side of the floor is usually cheaper than one worked into the middle of it.
• Load capacity: a base floor carries 500kg per square metre. Above that the price moves, because the structure needs more steel.
• Handrails: count the sides of the floor that are not against an existing wall.
• Forklift access: a safety pallet gate can go on the deck, but the space for a forklift to load underneath has to be designed in from the start.

Where the space goes

Shelving, parts storage, archive storage, carton live storage, pick and pack. Plenty of customers start with open deck and rack it out as stock builds, and our long span shelving is the usual choice up there. If you know that is the plan, say so at the design stage and the floor will be built to carry it.
