Racking quotes are hard to compare. Two suppliers price the same warehouse and the numbers come out thousands apart, because one of them has quoted starter bays the whole way down the run, or left the floor fixings off, or specced a 2000kg beam where you need 2400kg. You would need to know the systems to spot any of it.
Send us what you have. We go through it line by line and tell you what the price covers, then give you our figure for the same job. It costs nothing and you are under no obligation at the end of it.
If the quote in front of you is good, we will say so.
What we check

The load rating
A bay quoted as "2700 × 1100" with no UDL figure tells you nothing about what it will carry. Ours says 2400kg per beam level, because that is what it is rated to.

Starter and extension frames
Extensions share an upright with the bay beside them. A run of ten quoted as ten starter bays has nine frames in it that nobody needs, and you are paying for every one.

Floor fixings and beam clips
They cost very little, and the rack is not properly installed without them. Ours are in the price.

Who installs it
Ask whether the crew is the supplier's own or a subcontractor, and ask to see the insurance.

Delivery
A racking delivery is a lorry with a tail lift. If the price is missing from the quote, it is coming later.

Replacement parts
Ask what a replacement upright costs and how long it takes to get one. If the system is an import with no Irish stock, the answer is weeks.
