Racking Accessories

Mesh decking

Mesh decking is the easiest way of turning your pallet racking beams into shelving. Each panel carries 1000kg UDL (uniformly distributed load) and has four built-in support bars, so it won't sag or bend the way timber inserts can. Two decks cover the standard 2700mm pallet racking beam, turning that level into a 2000kg shelf — provided the beam itself is rated for the load.

The decking lets you store smaller pallets that don't span the full depth of the rack, and it stops a broken pallet collapsing through the level below. It's especially popular on the top level of high-bay racking, where it gives the forklift driver extra security while positioning the pallet. Rack protection

Forklifts and racking meet eventually — and it's always cheaper to replace a protector than a frame. Visiplas frame protectors (€30) absorb the energy of an impact before it reaches the upright. They fit uprights from 79mm to 105mm wide at the face, install in minutes with the two cable ties supplied, and are narrow enough not to reduce the clear entry of the rack.

Frame barrier protectors bolt to the floor at the exposed ends of racking runs and take the hit that would otherwise land on the base of the frame. The single upright angle protector does the same job at corners where forklifts turn. Floor fixings are included with every barrier and angle protector.

Support bars

Support bars sit underneath the timber shelf inserts on our long span shelving, raising the load capacity of the level. We stock them for both the 600mm and 900mm depths. If the product you're storing is on the heavy side for a timber insert, talk to us — price on request.

Castors

Castors suit warehouses that need quick picking — both our long span shelving and our workbenches are available on them, making each unit easy to move around your work area. Every set of four includes two braked castors, so the unit stays put once it's in position. Price on request.

Additional levels

Extra levels can be added to any of our long span shelving systems, instantly increasing your storage capacity within the same footprint. We supply them for both the 450mm and 900mm depths; pricing varies by depth — price on request.

Storage bins

Stackable storage warehouse bins, sold by the box in five colour-coded sizes.
