Racking Accessories

Everything on this page fits the pallet racking and long span shelving systems we stock year-round, so you can add to your installation whenever you need to. All prices ex VAT at 23%.

Mesh decking

Mesh decking turns a pair of pallet racking beams into a shelf. Each panel carries 1000kg UDL (uniformly distributed load) and has four built-in support bars, so it holds its shape under load. Two decks cover a standard 2700mm beam, which makes that level a 2000kg shelf where the beam is rated for it.

Decking also carries smaller pallets that don't span the full depth of the rack, and stops a broken pallet dropping through. Most customers put it on the top level of high-bay racking, where it gives the driver something to land on. We can make decks for other beam lengths. Ring us.

Rack protection

Visiplas frame protectors cost €30 and absorb the energy of an impact before it reaches the upright. They fit uprights from 79mm to 105mm wide at the face and go on in minutes with the two cable ties supplied. They are narrow enough to leave the clear entry of the rack alone.

Frame barrier protectors bolt to the floor at the exposed ends of racking runs and take the hit that would otherwise land on the base of the frame. The single upright angle protector does the same job at corners where forklifts turn. Floor fixings are included with every barrier and angle protector.

Support bars

Support bars sit underneath the timber shelf inserts on our long span shelving, raising the load capacity of the level. We stock them for both the 600mm and 900mm depths. If the product you're storing is on the heavy side for a timber insert, talk to us. Price on request.

Castors

Castors go on our long span shelving and our workbenches, so a unit can be wheeled around the work area. Every set of four includes two braked, so the unit stays put once it's in position. Price on request.

Additional levels

Extra levels go into any long span bay, adding capacity within the same footprint. We supply them for the 450mm and 900mm depths. Price varies by depth, so ring us for a figure.
